I am a public relations, investor relations and corporate communications veteran with over 20 years of professional healthcare/pharma/biotech communications experience – 10 years of agency/consulting experience and 10 years as corporate spokesperson for Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation, ending my career there as vice president, investor and public relations and corporate communications when the company was acquired in 2012.
I am adept at developing and managing consistent and compliant messaging for a gamut of audiences and have extensive experience with crisis communications, reputation management, executive and internal communications and corporate event oversight – from product launches to global PR campaigns. And, I can help you with creative and traditional ways to use that messaging for enhancing your corporate citizenship – something best practices would tell us never to overlook.
I have been a member of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) and member and/or board member of NIRI (National Investor Relations Institute) since 1999. I also am a summa cum laude graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a summa cum laude graduate from UC-Irvine with a Master’s Certification in Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Digital Communications from Johns Hopkins University.
I have lots of fun writing and encourage everyone to visit my darling Charlee's dog blog at www.LoveMyDogHateMyElbows.com. Charlee also has a children's book called "Charlee's Brave Dog Hamburger" available for sale on her website at www.CharleesTales.com and on Amazon. It's about bullying and will hopefully help children as they find themselves in bullying scenarios.
